Hi I'm nox. I mainly battle 2-player, though I've done enough 1-player battling to give some insight to that arena as well.

A little bit about me: I've been playing neopets for quite a long time, especially the Battledome. 10 years almost! It's not as old as when defense was just getting discovered, but close enough, right? I'm pretty active in the Battledome Chat, participating in various events. I've actually been in the BD Chat a little bit before The Faeries' Ruin plot, but I've definitely come far from that time.

I especially love testing stuff... Did you know that the old faerie ability "Water Jet" actually does 0.1 damage? Not 0.1 icons... 0.1 fixed, total damage.

Crazy, right?

Anyways, as you can probably tell, I'm also very good at 2-battling, and had surprised many battlers when I brandished 50% reflectors in order to counter the new anagram sword set (not that I won those battles... but if I had 75% reflectors instead, I could score a lot more KOs). If you fight me, make sure your moves count!

I run Wartime Preparation League, a novice guild for novice, rascal battlers started by Greg (neoskulltula). While we specialize in battle plot performance, we also participate in 2p, and occasionally get non-BDers that give us a richer experience of neopets as a whole.

Well, thats all about me. Just a guy who loves the BD, 2p battling, to test and discover mechanics and quirks, and to lead WPL.

My Rating Style

My rating style is going to be somewhat different than what people's seen, and will evaluate a weapon's overall potential both in 1-player and 2-player battling (mostly 2-player though):

At a Glance (3/3):
Here I'll describe first impressions and initial thoughts. Basically, how good it looks.
3 = looks great!
2 = looks good
1 = looks ok...
0 = looks bad!

In-Depth (4/4):
Here I'll describe more technical strategies, applications, and any stunts that you could pull off after looking at the current metagame. Basically, how practical it is.
4 = very practical!
3 = practical
2 = practical enough...
1 = not really practical
0 = dont use it!!

Price (2/2):
How good the price is compared to it's effectiveness.
2 = price is good/price is low
1 = price is ok/price is a bit high
0 = price is not good/price is too high

Bonus (1/1):
I think we all know what goes here :P
1 = it has a unique/humorous/redeeming quality
0 = it's boring and there's nothing to add

Final Score: 10/10

This rating style might mean that weapons generally will get a higher rating and reviewed more... optimistically. Especially underrated weapons. However, this also means that stronger/overrated weapons will be viewed more critically.

Either way, I hope to accurately assess weapons as they are and what they can be, and leave it up to battlers to decide whether or not to incorporate it into their battle style.
